Hello. I’m Monica Brown, founder/owner of the new Monica Aboumrad Gallery (MAG). Our first El Paso exhibition, Corazones Enamorados, opens Thursday, Feb. 10 & 11, from 12 to 5 p.m., at our temporary space, The MAG on Mills, at 606 Mills, in downtown El Paso.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day. We hope you’ll join us. (We’ll eventually be moving to permanent space in Mission Hills.)
What’s love got to do with it? The MAG is my dream fulfillment since a teenager back in Mexico City. The 14 artists in Corazones Enamorados are addressing this statement with their works: Hearts get easily broken. But just as easily, they can be nurtured, mended, brought back to Life. And when they heal, our hearts have increased capacity to love – passionately, full-force.
